Challenges in Software Quality

I believe the biggest obstacle to ensuring software quality is time constraints. For private companies, the best product is already finished product. For this reason, I do not think the "good enough" approach will change in the close future.

I must admit that my own experience in companies is similar to yours: "the perfect is the enemy of the good", and companies need to push products out the door, also to gain feedback from the market, not only on the product's quality but also on its features and functionality.
